Drawing what Sustainability means to the women of Capura.

Drawing what Sustainability means to the women of Capura.

A big thanks to Tito Mendoza of Fair Trade, CLAC, who taught me that participants respond better to pictures than words.  here I am conducting a Sustainability workshop amongst women quinoa farmers.  All were quite lively and ready to participate when I started drawing their responses – instead of writing them.  This helped the women who were not such great readers to participate equally and also kept the women laughing as they saw my amateur graphical interpretations of their ideas.

Sustainability workshop participants reposed better to pictures than words.
