A big thanks to Tito Mendoza of Fair Trade, CLAC, who taught me that participants respond better to pictures than words. here I am conducting a Sustainability workshop amongst women quinoa farmers. All were quite lively and ready to participate when I started drawing their responses – instead of writing them. This helped the women who were not such great readers to participate equally and also kept the women laughing as they saw my amateur graphical interpretations of their ideas.

Working with high school and college students in Capura, Potosi, Bolivia to complete a snowball sample survey of sustainability for the United Nations Circles project.
